It all started with the mouse! Mickey Mouse that
is. I stopped in at The Scrap Yard looking for Disney
paper. I remember thinking I’m in TROUBLE. I
loved the wide selection of paper, tools and accessories.
Then I found out Leigh Ann, the former owner, had
crops. The spacious crop area caught my attention
because I was scrapbooking in my dark basement and
could never get anything done because of distractions.
I am a social person and liked the idea of getting
together with other scrapbookers.
When a help wanted sign appeared in the door one
day, I thought there is my sign! So, I have worked
here at The Scrap Yard for 1 ½ years and then
bought it when Leigh Ann decided to move on. It truly
was a dream come true for me.
My husband, Terry, and I have been married for 23
years and both of my children are off in college.
This business venture has given me something to fill
the void.
Abby and Chrissy are my right hand girls. They have
unique personalities and ideas. They are a huge asset
to the Scrap Yard.
The Scrap Yard is more than a store. It is a Scrapbook
Center. We have the largest selection of paper, albums,
embellishments, stickers, vellum, idea books and crop

The
Scrap Yard's Crop Room seats 16 paper crafters
and is available for rent when not in use for a class
or crop. It is equipped with 2 Accu-cut die cut machines,
a computer loaded with fonts, and various tools and
idea books. Need an interesting location for a baby
shower? How about a scrapbooking party? The guests can
complete different layouts for the busy new Mom-to-be.
We can do the same for a bridal shower. Or how about
a child's birthday party? Each guest brings 6-8 related
pictures and leaves with a flip-book of memories.
